Meet Chester — The Sweetest Little Lovebug! 

Chester’s story is a bit of a mystery. He came to ARPO as a stray after being TNR’d, with a noticeably broken leg. And honestly, we can’t figure out how a kitten this incredibly friendly ended up out on his own! From the moment he arrived in his foster home, Chester has made it very clear that all he really wants is to be loved. 

Chester is quite possibly one of the friendliest kittens his foster family has ever met. He absolutely cannot get close enough to people! He constantly rubs against your legs, presses his little head against your face, and is happiest when he is being held and cuddled. If there is a lap available, Chester would very much like to know why he isn’t already sitting in it. 

When Chester came to ARPO, X-rays revealed a Salter-Harris fracture involving the growth plate of his right front leg. His joint was quite swollen, so he was given pain medication and antibiotics while his veterinary team evaluated the injury. After consulting with both a radiologist and another veterinarian, it was determined that surgery was not necessary. Thankfully, Chester has responded beautifully to conservative treatment. He is now walking normally, and you would never know that just a few weeks ago he was limping!

Chester is also very eager to have a kitten friend. He desperately wants to make friends with the other kittens in his foster home, but he is patiently waiting until his veterinary team gives him the all-clear to safely meet them. We have a feeling he is going to be thrilled when that day comes!

Chester is almost ready to find his forever family. At his upcoming veterinary appointment, he will be microchipped, have a repeat fecal test, and receive his second vaccine. Once he gets the green light, this sweet boy will be ready to trade his foster home for a forever home where he can soak up all the love he so desperately wants.
