I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Loki

I'm Available

Loki is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix whose story is nothing short of incredible. After being surrendered to an overcrowded shelter for medical issues, Loki spent months waiting as his time ran out. With no rescue stepping forward and space limited, he was placed on the euthanasia list—down to his final days—when ARPO stepped in to save him.

Once in rescue, Loki received the care he desperately needed. An ultrasound revealed an enlarged prostate, cysts, and a small hernia. After being neutered and started on antibiotics, his transformation was remarkable—within just two weeks, his prostate had already reduced significantly, the cysts resolved, and the hernia disappeared. Loki’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of spay and neuter.

Now in his foster home, Loki is thriving. He is incredibly well-mannered—potty trained, crate trained, and wonderful with other dogs. While he doesn’t currently live with cats, he showed no interest in them during shelter testing. True to his nature, Loki is a mellow, gentle giant. At around 73 pounds, he’s still filling out a bit, but his heart is already full. He loves being near his people, relaxing outside on the patio, and even has a favorite chair he proudly calls his own.

Loki is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. He’s ready for a forever home where he can enjoy the simple things in life—love, comfort, and companionship. After everything he’s been through, Loki is more than ready for his second chance.
