Meet Marlene Griggs-Knope!

Marlene Griggs-Knope is a tiny survivor with an absolutely enormous personality. Found alone on the street at just 1 or 2 weeks old, she got a second chance thanks to a kind neighbor who began bottle feeding her before ARPO took over her care. After weeks of round-the-clock feedings, Marlene grew into the fearless, hilarious kitten she is today.

This girl lives life at full speed. Wand toys are her absolute favorite, and she’s always ready for her next adventure. Curious, confident, and endlessly entertaining, Marlene believes everything is worth investigating and that every human activity is better with her involvement. She will hide to pounce on you any time you pass.  But if she sees you sit or lay down, she immediately curls up and wants snuggles.

Marlene loves people more than anything and would happily spend all day with her favorite human. She gets along with dogs and isn’t afraid of anything, but because she was raised without littermates during her earliest weeks, she is still learning her manners. She tends to play rough with younger kittens and sometimes gets a little mouthy during human play. The good news is that she’s making great progress with redirection, consistency, and plenty of interactive toys. But because of this, she would be better with older kids and preferably another young cat to help her learn.

Marlene would thrive in a home where someone is around often. A work-from-home human would be her dream come true. She’s equal parts chaos, comedy, and cuddle bug, and she’s looking for someone who appreciates a kitten with a big personality, a big heart, and an even bigger zest for life.
