This 6-month-old Mini Australian Shepherd was rescued from a kill shelter, and he’s ready to start his happily-ever-after. The second he decides he likes you, he flips right over for his favorite thing: belly rubs.

Augustus came to ARPO after being owner-surrendered with his two brothers and landed on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter before being saved. Now, he’s ready for the second chance he so deserves — and a forever family to love him for life.

He’s working hard on potty training and even learning to ring the bell. Treat-motivated and smart, he’s catching on to commands quickly. Auggie loves other dogs, adores kids, and would thrive in a patient, loving home where he can continue to blossom.
