Meet Truffles — A Little Fighter with a Big Heart

Truffles came to the shelter after being found outside, unable to use her back legs. Once in ARPO’s care, X-rays revealed a fractured pelvis and possible spinal involvement—likely caused by trauma, such as a car accident or animal attack. She currently lacks tail tone and bladder control, but our vet team is hopeful that with time and healing, Truffles may regain those functions.

For now, she’s being gently expressed throughout the day and is receiving lots of love and support from her foster family.

But here’s the real story: Truffles is pure love. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s a total cuddle bug who melts into your lap and looks at you like she’s known you forever. She’s calm, trusting, and unbelievably sweet—and yes, she is also ridiculously cute.

Her estimated birthday is May 19th, and we are eager to follow her healing journey. Truffles is a shining example of resilience, and we know her perfect forever home is out there, once she is ready for adoption.
